How I can change the screen size on a set of Nancy Drew that keeps returning abnormally small?

I just installed the game Nancy Drew Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon several times and comes with a quick game screen while the rest of the computer screen is blank. I have a normal PC Windows XP installed, and this is not a normal problem I encountered. Is there a place I have to change my computer properties, and how I can do that?

For a very old game (which means 5 years) may have to change the screen resolution. Right click on the desktop, select Properties, Settings tab. Consider the screen resolution to change again after games. Now, try a resolution of 800 x 600. You could also try 16-bit color, if the game not working properly. Then start the game The office will be fun, but you can switch back after the games ……
