What do you think about learning two languages at once?

I’ve been learning Italian for almost a year, and now I’m really hooked up so I’m putting much effort in learning it. But now I’m thinking of learning Esperanto which is really simple, but I might get confused because they seem very similar. It might help me too, but still I’ve got to be good at Italian for school and it wouldn’t be so great if I mix them up. Should I learn Esperanto now or just wait some time?

You learn Esperanto to gain access to people around the world, so you can really use languages like Italian, and do more than order dinner and shop for clothes. The Esperanto network is really tight, and many will let you come visit them in their country, in their home, negating the need to worry about hotels and paying for a place to stay while visiting, and there are people, mostly concentrated in all of Europe, but thick in Brazil as well. You can find Esperantist in all parts of the world.

The only people who say things negative about Esperanto do not really understand what doors it really opens up. Many college students who learn Esperanto tend to travel three to 12 months longer than any other foreign studies student because they can better afford to really travel, whereas the rest of the tourist are there for week to a few weeks until the money runs out, and only be haling cabs and asking for directions.

Esperanto will get you instant friends, even in countries where English is the main language.
