Books: The Great Fairy for the girls

Little girls love fairies and if you are looking for a way to encourage interest in reading and writing, then offers a selection of books on the subject of fairies is a wonderful start.

There are several versions of the theme of fairies books, the modern theme-based traditional Disney Fairies Tinkerbell Cicely Barker Flower Fairies books. All books can be appreciated by older readers, either alone or read-through of the parent reading time and a wonderful window the imagination of a young, love the land and their interest in reading.

Tinkerbell was once a simple side kick from Peter Pan, the hero of immortal works of James Barrie's book in 1904 and 1911. When Disney released the animated film Peter Pan in 1953, Tinkerbell no idea it would one day be in a movie all his own that led to the rooms and numerous books, toys and decorations. The Disney Fairies line took her out with the release of the Tinkerbell DVD video directly in 2008, the first of five films from Disney Fairies.

There are a number of books about Tinker Bell, Vidia, Lily, Rani and the rest of the fairies. The first and most famous Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg by Gail Carson Levine. The book and its sequel Fairy Haven and the quest the wand million copies sold and are recommended for older, more confident readers.

Random House began publishing a series of books under the Banner small chapter of Tales of Pixie Hollow. These books are smaller and easier to read, but always recommended to qualified readers. Papercutz Comic company also publishes comic interpretations of Disney Fairies, in the same vein as Geronimo Stilton BD.

If you're looking as most contemporary interpretations of the culture of the fairies and try Rainbow Magic series of books by Daisy Meadows series, Kingdom of Fairies Emily Rodda, Nicola Nina fairy ballerina Slater or a series of books mermaid Emily Windsnap Liz Kessler.

Moving away from the modern interpretation of the story and return to a more traditional approach, the number of flower tale is based on Cicely Mary Barker's original illustrations flower fairy, fairy tales and nursery rhymes published in the 1920s. Cicely Mary Barker was strongly influenced by Kate Greenaway and his images are beautiful fairy-like children in natural environments.

The editors are committed contemporary writers reinterpreted fairy tales and flowers, while various images and stories are a little older than most recent interpretations worldliness Disney Co. and providing a balance land. The stories cover all the events taking place exclusively within the flower fairy in the world, which is a very earthly creation, based in nature.

Readers learn about the seasons and the plants that support the growth of individual circumstances and how specific changes in the effects on the environment environment of other aspects of this ecosystem. But this is very subtle and completely natural in the context of history.

If you prefer a more traditional approach, try Fairy Chronicles series by JH Sweet.
Fairy tales appeal to the young, not only because they are nice and dance and sing, but also an integrated connection with women on earth. In promoting the love of a young fairy you can not only help connect the earth but also to strengthen their love of reading and writing.

Second Chapter [Limited] $22.99 The first solo album from Fleetwood Mac singer/songwriter Daniel David Kirwan has the future producer for Human League and Buzzcocks, Martin Rushent, utilizing those skills here, as well as engineering. The sound is crystal clear, and a feather in the cap for Rushent as well as Kirwan. It starts off with an uncharacteristic “Ram Jam City,” which has more Lindsey Buckingham sounds than one would expect, especially since the two guitarists come from two different musical worlds. “Odds and Ends” is more lighthearted, the kind of music Paul McCartney toyed with on The White Album’s “Rocky Raccoon.” What Second Chapter immediately sets forth is the importance of Kirwan as a pop artist, and how, despite Fleetwood Mac’s success after he left, his sounds could still have been beneficial to that supergroup. “Hot Summers Day” is a fine example of that, a beautiful song that could offset Buckingham’s gritty ramblings. It would have made a nice counterpoint as Stevie Nicks complemented Christine McVie’s tunes with her adventures, bringing an important change of pace to that popular band’s hits. The jacket looks like a dusty old family album-style book holding Kirwan’s Second Chapter. And the music reflects that old-world feel in titles like “Skip a Dee Doo” and “Falling in Love with You.” Three of the best songs on this excellent outing are “Love Can Always Bring You Happiness,” “Second Chapter,” and a sleepy and beautiful number called “Silver Streams.” Kirwan’s tune is haunting as well with its lilting “all you need is love to show you the way from here” chorus. As on a follow-up album, he tends to sound a little like the group America, the vocals with that same America tone and warmth. They very well could have covered “Silver Stream” or “Cascades,” the album’s final track. This material was crafted right in the middle of America’s run of hits, and maybe they should have replaced Dan Peek with Dan D. Kirwan? The artist’s three solo discs cut in the ’70s make for a very pleasant and thought-provoking listening experience, and that this collection is so good only shows he kicked his departure from the big band off with a vengeance. ~ Joe Viglione
